Two back to back goals goals (high direct wall hit and a reasonable sideline aerial) - I get on the chat from my ex-team mate of one game, "Fork me (or similar!) - NOW you can hit aerials" No rotation throughout and I was having to hang back as I said to try and defend what was a forever open goal if I wasn't there or at least able to back track in time. Prime example (not ranked just took ages to match then chucked me in wherever there was a slot)įirst game got leathered the other day 3-0ĭefensive errors from everyone me included. However you are sat on a low score just blocking and goal preventing cause if you go up as well, you've left a goal wide open for more punishment. In that role you don't get the chance to shine if your team mates are ragging the ball the wrong way or standing under it bouncing up and down performing backflips like they are helping. I'm reasonable, have my moments but I'm more of a support/cover/counter attacker. If I have a stinker there's no to little point berating me because they don't know I should be better (although yes, that will come with experience but everyone has a skill ceiling you'll hit at some point or other it just varies from player to player. I enjoy the game much more now no-one sees it. It's as pointless an exercise as pushing water up a hill. Sometimes from a more experienced standpoint it isn't helping at all but realising that only comes with putting the time in. Everything they are doing is helping and someone else is the weak link. I also understand being up front and whacking anything anywhere that something will go in sooner or later re-affirming in their head why i'm on 120 points, they have 300 and that justifies in their head they are better than me. I'm not saying anything about how great I am compared to everyone else in the RL community I'm just saying inexperienced players don't know any different yet but there is no defending yourself for exactly that reason because they see youtube videos and think everyone plays like that and going from one level to the next means you get an auto boost to your skill. That doesn't go for everyone but I run into this as regularly as I play it. There are many other factors that constitute a win not one or even two people on a three person team but no-one person can or should be expected to pick up the crumbs and hold a match up. The barrages of every mistake on quick chat get draining. The reality is its not always like that and your teammates also can restrict or inhibit you doing anything good to help. You are immediately with your level tag (which is usually considerably higher than theirs) then expected to have a perfect game, be scoring goals all the time and being a huge asset. Playing with new/lower ranked people assume when they start your rank is a measure of how good you are. Experience is everything in this so ranking up isn't as fruitful as you may think, you'll just more challenging people to play against (although I totally understand getting to the next rank is a personal milestone of achievement which I like to see but I keep my rank to myself which if you're the same in time you'll probably just end up hiding anyway).ĭidn't mean to put you off so let me expand - i don't play ranked much so when I do I'm in (generally speaking) a group of people who've put in a LOT less hours than I have since July. I feel your pain but remember unranked level means nothing.

Then you get up to past level 40 levelling up is a slow old game. It will only sync to the server when you quit the game and sync so if you exit and it fails you lose it for the whole session. Opt to select the local ones, that overwrites the ones on their server thus matching your local to the server again. If you do have to revert it when you next connect it should advise when cloud sync is on that the files locally and on the server don't match. Only then delete out the ten autosaves (to ensure you have an empty DBE production folder before pasting in the backup files (Why bother? you may find it's not that that's the problem then you've def lost progress since you last backed up to your external files which are now your only current files as you pasted over them) If that does happen and you want to re-apply the ones you've backed upĬopy the current ones there out (again to another location). Should anything disastrous occur you won't need to start again you can go back to the point you last backed up. I back up the SaveData (simply copy and paste) the whole parent folder which contains "DPE_Production" folder which in turn contains all the saves) to an external location. I'll add the location for the autosaves is here:Ĭ:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\SaveData
